OpenMTV uses referral codes to attribute campaign activity and determine reward eligibility.
Website referral codes are stored in the visitor's browser for up to 30 days using first-touch attribution. The referral service records aggregate campaign events such as referral visits, eligible Roku links and qualification status.
When the OpenMTV Roku app participates in referral qualification, the server hashes the app/device identifier with a private server-side salt before storing it. The referral database is designed not to store the raw Roku device identifier.
Reward qualification requires a new eligible Roku device linked to an ambassador referral plus the required watch time. Website clicks alone do not qualify.
This page is a technical campaign notice, not a substitute for OpenMTV's full privacy policy or legal review.
